Claroncology

COMPEREHENSIVE WHOLE-BODY ASSESSMENT AND TRACKING OF LESIONS

The Claroncology application aims to assist clinicians (mainly radiologists working with oncologists) in performing a quick, accurate and repeatable staging and disease trajectory assessment of cancer appearance in CT, PET/SPECT-CT and MRI studies of any part of the body.

KEY FEATURES

Lesions detection and assessment

  • Cross-correlated slabs and volume-rendered visualization with fast scrolling and rotation in any dimension.
  • Side-by-side and in-place cycled or fused display of multiple phases in each study, and of pre-registered multi-modality studies.
  • Nearly automatic (one-click) segmentation of lesions in any part of the body in any modality.
  • Powerful 2D/3D editing tools for correcting the automated segmentation as required.
  • Automatic calculation of volume and longest axial diameter for lesion and necrotic region.
  • Auto-updated volumetric tumor map, summary table and total tumor burden calculation.
  • Automatic structured report generation.

Follow up (therapy response evaluation):

  • Automatic selection and loading of overlapping prior studies.
  • Automatic background elastic volumetric registration of studies.
  • Automatic matching of lesions across studies, including merging, splitting, new and disappearing, with manual editing as needed.
  • Synchronized side-by-side and in-place comparison of studies across time points.
  • Automatic response reporting: RECIST, WHO, volume growth with and without necrotic region, doubling time, trajectory curves.
  • Automatic structured report generation.

Collaboration support:

  • Storage of bookmarks to be viewed interactively in a web browser by the oncologist.
  • Synchronized collaborative viewing of the results across the internet.

Deployment

The application is designed to run either standalone or tightly integrated into a host workstation environment. It is designed to run in a Windows 64 bit environment (XP and later). Collaboration tools require an optional installation of Claron Nil server.
