SHARING, COLLABORATION AND DIAGNOSTIC READING ANYWHERE, ANYTIME
Claron Technology's Nil is a family of "zero footprint" cloud viewers, providing secure, fully interactive viewing of 2D and 3D imaging studies and reports anywhere and anytime. Two product configurations are available, serving two distinct purposes: NilShare is a non-diagnostic viewer for communication with referring physicians, while NilRead* is a diagnostic viewer with advanced viewing capabilities.
Simple Connectivity
Nil viewers can be easily integrated in any DICOM network: they receive data from PACS or directly from the modalities and they can also query-retrieve remote DICOM nodes from within a browser. A Nil administrator controls the level of access of each user or group depending on roles. Nil runs on all major computing platforms: Windows, Apple, Linux, iPhone, iPad, Android and other mobile OS are all supported. No IT infrastructure is required for a Nil viewer secure deployment.
Advanced Viewing Protocols
NilRead* enables fully interactive viewing in 2D, multiplanar slabs, 3D MIP and shaded volume rendering. Optional dedicated viewing protocols are available for Nuclear Medicine studies and for Enhanced MR and CT. The viewing protocols can be organized as desired. Series can be drag and dropped into any viewing protocol. Streaming optimizations make the display rate automatically adapt to different type of connections, from high speed network to 3G phone connections. Cine loops can be displayed at full rate, after the first streaming has been cached and anonymized on the system. Fully editable measurements and annotations are available for further assessing and marking up each study.
Interactive Collaboration
With a Nil viewer, radiologists can also organize collaboration sessions with their referring physicians where all participants share and annotate the same study in real time. By providing an enhanced experience for their referring physicians, the Nil family of viewers allows hospitals, radiology groups and imaging centers to maintain and increase their referral base.
NIL FEATURES
No installation Web solution: Nil viewers are completely coded in AJAX and do not have any non-browser dependencies or plug-in requirements. They can run inside all the major browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) and major desktop and mobile OS (Windows, Linux, Apple, iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry)
Real Time Image manipulation functions: Nil viewers can interactively zoom, pan, window level, rotate, and scroll. Every Nil viewer optimizes the viewing pipeline to the bandwidth and the latency on the network. All the operations are performed on 2D, MPR and volumetric studies.
Multimodality: Nil supports a large and evolving set of Dicom modalities, including X-ray, CR, DR, Angio, CT, MR, Enhanced MR, Enhanced CT, PET-CT, SPECT, US and Secondary captures.
Advanced protocols: NilRead supports optional advanced viewing protocols. Currently there are two advanced protocols available: one for fusion of NM data with CT or MR and one for viewing Enhanced CT and MR.
Bookmarks:Viewing state can be saved in completely self-contained bookmarks, which can be restored by a simple click.
Mobile multi-touch version:GUI automatically adapts to the mobile environment, supporting, when available, multi-touch gestures like pinch and fling.
Collaborations: Nil supports interactive collaboration sessions for 2 and more participants. All participants view the same screen and can interact and annotate the study. Collaboration sessions can be started when needed or scheduled for specific times. Screenshots of the collaboration sessions can be saved as DICOM secondary captures.
Secure: Nil respects HIPAA requirements, with industry standard security solutions for authentication through Windows 2008 server and encrypted secure communication with SSL.
Scalable and Cloud-ready: Nil's back-end is completely scalable and adaptable to varying numbers of concurrent users. Every Nil sessions can be persisted and restored on different servers, allowing the use of Nil in a server farm environment with a front-end load balancer.
Easy to integrate: Nil viewers can be integrated into reading environments in different ways, ranging from direct in-memory sharing to a DICOM user-provider connection. Claron's development team can assist OEM customers in devising the most efficient and time effective integration, and in customizing the user experience as required.
