Support Engineer/System Administrator
Claron is a rapidly growing startup dedicated to the development of vision software for medical purposes. We are currently looking for a support engineer to maintain and scale our network infrastructure as the company grows, and to assist our development teams in developing and delivering our products to our customers. As Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to take on diverse tasks, identify opportunities for improving systems and processes, and implements solutions in these areas.
The ideal candidate will have system administration experience in a small to medium sized technical company and/or development support experience, and is someone who loves to multi-task, trouble-shoot, and make other peoples' jobs easier.
System Administration: Maintain and enhance systems, tools, and development environment (including software build and configuration management system). Source and configure new equipment. Responsible for backup system.
Software Installers: Develops and maintain installation software for Claron internal and external projects
Customer Support: Provide installation and service support to select clinical sites. Develop tools as needed to provide high quality service to customers.
Database Administration: Maintain and enhance large imaging database
Development & Test: Maintain and enhance nightly build and automated test infrastructure for Claron's products. Contribute to testing of Claron's products as needed.
Requirements:
BSc in computer science or related field
Proven capacity to handle multiple parallel tasks
Strong analytical, trouble-shooting and communication skills
Minimum 2 years experience in system administration, software development, database administration and/or customer support
Experience supporting or working in a Windows Server\XP/Visual Studio development environment required. Experience with InstallShield or similar tool a plus. Experience supporting an SVN or CVS configuration management system highly desirable.
