Volumetric Algorithmics Engineer

Claron is developing algorithmics software to automatically extract useful information from large volumes of image data generated by medical imaging scanners (e.g. CT, MRI). Typical challenges include automatic segmentation of anatomical structures, volume-volume and volume-model registration, detection of abnormalities and quantification of change. We are seeking talent that are interested in solving difficult clinical and algorithmic problems, and can rapidly deliver effective and efficient solutions to such challenges.

The successful candidate will join a highly experienced team, who excel at developing innovative, advanced analysis solutions for clinical use. Compensation may consist of a mix of base salary, benefits, and stock options.

Requirements:

  • PhD in computer science or similar, or MSc/ BSc with minimum 3-5 years related industry experience.

  • Proven capacity to effectively and rapidly develop innovative computer vision/algorithmic software, preferably as applied to volumetric medical data.

  • Experience with CPU and memory usage optimization techniques.

  • Love for, and excellence at, coding. Capacity to fully concentrate on a coding challenge for hours at a time.

  • Understanding of, and interest in, solving clinical challenges.

  • .NET (MC++/VB/C#) experience highly desirable.

  • Excellent self discipline, self-motivation and professional attitude towards meeting commitments even when contact with peers or supervisor is minimal.

  • Residence in the Toronto area desirable, but not critical (can telecommute from anywhere in the world).
